That has to be one of the best quotes I have seen in a long time. I wish I said it first, but it is by George Eliot. But what a profound meaning to this. It is never too late, so never, ever give up. When I heard this quote, I first thought of Henry Ford, of the Ford automobile fame. Did you know that Henry Ford was broke at the age of 40? Now to some of you, 40 sounds like the good old days (at least it does to me) and to others 40 seems like the distant future. But it goes to show you how you never know when you are going to start on the path to lead you to “what you might have been”. My mother-in-law started her career at the age of 65. Her husband, my father-in-law developed Alzheimer’s Disease. She devoted her life to helping him through his final years and then started a Alzheimer’s support group in Montreal. She has since helped raise all kinds of money to fight this disease and along the way has made so many new friends that help fill her life with meaning. She is now over 90 years old and she just won’t slow down. There is always one more meeting to attend, one more job that needs attention… Do you know anyone who became “what they might have been” when most people would just give up? I know there are a lot of great examples out there that we can use to inspire us to greater heights. Lets share, n’est pas? Dr Tony
